OUR STORY

Backstitch Outreach is the product of founder -Nester Taylor's - calling to give back. Just as an early mentor did for Nester, he aims to encourage, build confidence, and nurture creativity through the arts.

​

This creative journey began with his first business, Pin and Needles, where Nester quickly found himself providing need-based scholarships out of his own pocket. In 2023, Nester set out to establish a nonprofit that could further expand his reach, and the vision of fully funding tuition and supplies for larger numbers of underserved youth in Pensacola and surrounding areas.

Nester has teamed up with like-minded community members and a team of creative instructors, who each share his passion for giving back and encouraging youth to reach their full potential. Instructors have years of experience in their craft, have tailored their classes for children, and are excited to break down barriers through the fiber arts.
